FAQ – General

For intensive treatment and prevention, it makes sense to use both products. Especially for people who do not wash their hair every day, daily application of the Phyto-Caffeine Tonic is particularly recommended.

All formulas contain highly active caffeine which penetrates to the hair follicles and can supply sufficient growth energy. Depending on their intensity and application, the various products contain additional phyto-active ingredients made from soy and white tea, which compensate for deficiencies caused by low estrogen levels:

Besides caffeine, the Phyto-Caffeine Tonic contains the hair vitamin niacin and zinc salts that prevent the increasing effect of testosterone on the roots of the hair. It also contains active plant bio-substances, for example the phytoestrogen genistein from the soy plant. Soy extracts are recommended as a successful hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women.

Phytoflavones from white tea (obtained with the greatest care from the tea plant), which also increase resistance in the scalp and improve hair follicles, are also added to the phyto-caffeine shampoos. Phytoflavones protect against free radicals and improve regeneration.

Since the caffeine in coffee is drunk, it first passes through the digestive tract before it is absorbed into the body. Subsequently, it is distributed throughout the body and only a tiny quantity reaches the scalp and the hair roots. This is why a local and direct supply of caffeine is advisable and necessary. Even the consumption of 40 cups of coffee would not provide the hair roots with enough caffeine.

Caffeine from coffee is not able to penetrate the scalp or the hair follicle. This requires a special carrier base (galenics) that transports the active ingredients to the site where they can develop their effect. Our scientists have been researching this field for a long time and they have successfully developed a method for transporting caffeine into the hair follicles.

You should begin using Plantur 39 products at the onset of the menopause. Since the age at which the menopause starts is different for every woman, pre-treatment should begin from the age of about 40. It is recommended to begin early, since this can help to protect against premature hair loss. Plantur 39 should also be used after the menopause to provide lasting protection for the hair roots.

Plantur 39 can certainly be used by people while they are younger. Plantur 21 was developed to protect the hair roots from energy deficiency and prevent hair growth disorders especially in young women. The activating nutri-caffeine complex in Plantur 21 improves the supply of micronutrients to the hair roots and safeguards against premature hair loss.

Chemotherapy is a massive attack on cellular activity throughout the entire body. The skin and the hair suffer particularly severely.
The use of Plantur 39 products (shampoo and tonic) is beneficial in order to supply the hair with sufficient energy again.
However, since chemotherapy is a medical treatment, you should always obtain the consent of your doctor before using the products.

In rare cases, stronger hair loss can occur temporarily. This process is called “shedding”. The intensive head massage may cause hairs that are already in their resting phase to be massaged out of the follicles at an increased rate. However, after three to four months this increased hair loss is reduced and the hair growth cycles can regenerate.
