FAQs – Colour Silver
Frequently asked questions and answers
The Plantur 39 Colour Silver products contain powerful violet pigments. These build up on the hair. The colouring effect intensifies every time you wash your hair and can be washed out gradually with a conventional shampoo. As such, Plantur 39 Colour Silver products have to be used regularly in order to achieve the desired colour effect and reduce the unwanted yellow hue in the long term. Leave the products in for 2 to 5 minutes depending on the desired colour intensity. Then rinse out thoroughly.
Yellow and violet are complementary colours in colour theory as they are opposite each other in the colour wheel. One property of complementary colours is that they can cancel each other out if they are mixed with each other as they will always give a neutral grey. The violet colour pigments in the Plantur 39 Colour Silver products are therefore necessary to take the yellow hue out of the hair and make it look silvery and shiny again.
Any discolouration of the scalp can be ruled out. The products in the Plantur 39 Colour Silver series contain cosmetic pigments that only build up on the hair: Neither the scalp nor hands are discoloured when used.
The Colour Silver Shampoo from Plantur 39 also contains a phytocaffeine complex. This penetrates into the hair roots with each wash, providing them with sufficient growth energy. If used regularly, menopausal hair loss can be prevented.
If the Plantur 39 Colour Silver are used regularly, strong, violet colour pigments gradually build up on the hair, remove the yellow hue and give the hair a more cool and intense shade. Leave the products in for 2 to 5 minutes depending on the desired colour intensity. The longer the products are left in, the more effective the result.
If the colour result is more intense than you expected or the hair has a slight purple shimmer, it is recommended to reduce the amount of time the product is left in the hair or to only use the products for every other wash. Using a conventional shampoo washes out the colour effect.
It is recommended to use a conditioner after washing the hair to properly care for it. Your hair is glossier, silkier and easier to comb. It is also known that a conditioner is normally only used on the lengths and tips of the hair in order to avoid weighing the hair down and making it look lacklustre.
For an optimum colour result, apply the Plantur 39 Colour Silver Conditioner evenly throughout the hair, from the roots to the tips. In order to prevent the hair from becoming weighed down or greasy too quickly, the colour conditioner was developed like a conditioner for fine and brittle hair. These products are not as rich as conventional conditioners as they contain fewer care components. However, the conditioner does provide sufficient care in addition to the colour effect and the hair can be styled as usual.
